NO SPOILERS!!!!

We've been watching #Severance Season One(1) for the first time.

I'm not going to talk about the content except to say that it's great, you'll love it. Also, the various ways symbols are used and the reused in a different way is amazing. Distinct characters, unfolding plot, insights into aspects of life and work...the whole nine yards

What I want to talk about is the #acting. Specifically, the face acting.

There are so many reactions, micro-expressions, face evolutions, etc. People who sometimes smile with their eyes and sometimes don't.

It's weird that you don't usually see this in movies and TV, but the actors are still great at it. In particular you can almost read the minds of Terturro, Tillman and Lower.

And Arquette is on another planet entirely.

One thing I haven’t heard enough of in the #Severance commentary is just how perfect Sandra Bernhard is. It’s a small role, but she steps in and knocks it out of the park in her few short moments of screen time.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I saw her on screen, but if she’s been on hiatus, it seems she had no problems swinging back into it.

Confession - I'd do anything to experience again the thrill of hearing those first melancholy notes of The Windmills of Your Mind at the end of the season 2 finale 🥺
